Valley Metro extends hours for reduced fare applicants

Valley Metro is offering extended evening and weekend hours to help riders sign up for reduced fare. A reduced fare account will be required by Aug. 1, 2024, to purchase anything other than 1-Ride. Riders will need to choose between the Valley Metro app or reduced fare Copper card when applying. All qualified riders can apply online now for reduced fare by visiting valleymetrofares.org

 

Reduced fare is available for Youth (6-18), Seniors (65+), Persons with Disabilities and Medicare card holders. Specific documents are required when applying. All riders are encouraged to visit valleymetro.org/reducedfare to confirm their needed documents. 

 

In-person application locations and hours

Valley Metro Mobility Center - 4600 E. Washington St., Suite 101, Phoenix, AZ 85034. Use the door on 45th Street through the courtyard for access.  

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Extended Hours:

  • May 16, June 6 & 20, July 18 until 7 p.m.
  • May 25, June 22, July 27 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

 Tempe Transit Store - 200 E 5th St, Tempe, AZ 85281. 

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Extended Hours:

  • May 22, June 12 & 26, July 10 & 24 until 7 p.m.
  • June 1, July 6 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
