Valley Metro, City of Phoenix to host West Phoenix Extension open house series
PHOENIX – Valley Metro and the City of Phoenix invite the community to attend one of several upcoming open houses to learn more about the West Phoenix Light Rail Extension and provide feedback that will help shape its future.
Each open house will feature the same information, so community members are encouraged to attend the date and location that is most convenient for them. Attendees can interact one-on-one with Valley Metro and City of Phoenix staff, share what's important to them, update their contact information, select their preferred language and choose how they'd like to receive future project updates. No formal presentation will be given, so attendees are welcome to stop by at any time during each event.

About the West Phoenix Extension: The West Phoenix Extension (WPE) is a proposed 10-mile light rail expansion that would connect west Phoenix to the existing Valley Metro Rail system. The proposed route would connect at either Indian School/Central Ave. or 19th Ave./Camelback, then extend west along Indian School Road to 75th Ave., south to Thomas Road, ending at Desert Sky Transit Center at 79th Ave./Thomas Road.
