Subject: Lane Restrictions on Southbound I-17 Date: Wednesday, May 10, 2006 8:31 PM Lane Restrictions on Southbound I-17 Southbound I-17 will be restricted to one lane at times starting next week, while survey crews work on a six-mile stretch of the interstate between Sunset Point and Black Canyon City. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) says workers are scheduled to work from dawn to dusk beginning Tuesday, May 16, 2006, and will continue working Monday through Thursday through mid June. No work will take place on May 29 and 30 to accommodate Memorial Day weekend travel. The work is being done to prepare for a future repaving project on the I-17. Drivers are encouraged to give themselves extra travel time to avoid any delays in the area. Delays are expected since only one lane of the southbound I-17 will be open while the survey work is under way.
