ADOT invites public to meetings next week (Nov. 29-30) about future
Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway improvements

A study of proposed improvements to the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway in
east Phoenix and Tempe will be the topic of two public meetings next
week. 

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is seeking input from
the public regarding the study to add lanes to the Loop 202 (Red
Mountain Freeway) between the I-10/SR 51 interchange and the Loop 101
(Pima/Price freeways).

1730 S. Mill Avenue in Tempe 4309 E. Belleview Street in Phoenix
(Corner of Broadway/Mill) (South of McDowell and West of 44th Street)

A brief presentation will occur at 6:30 p.m. each night.  The ADOT study
team will present the same information at both meetings.  The team will
discuss the environmental study currently under way and seek input from
the public about any issues to be considered.

The Red Mountain Freeway improvements are part of the Valley's Regional
Transportation Plan with funding approved by voters through the passage
of Proposition 400 last year.
